We do the testing and consultancy needs of all types of construction industries. We have a center to specially take care of the testing and consultancy needs of Civil Engineers and building construction units in the district of Salem and even outside it.

The following services/facilities are being offered at the center for more than two decades.

1.   The facilities include modern/upgraded equipment that caters to multidimensional
testing in Civil Engineering. Testing of building materials such as bricks, sand, aggregate, cement and steel.

2.   Analysis of water and their suitability for construction.

3.   Testing of soil in laboratory and determining safe bearing capacity of soil in field by using standard penetration testing equipment.

4.   Design of concrete mix to develop a given strength-results will be released within three days using steam curing chamber.

5.   Testing of soil for road and determining CBR value for design of pavement at field/laboratory.

6.   Testing of Bitumen and Mix design for semi-dense Bituminous concrete.

7.   Structural design for high-rise building.

8.   Valuation of buildings (Industrial and commercial).

9.   Surveying and division of lands, preparing of boundary and  contour maps etc.

10. The Civil Engineering department has a number of Structural Engineering Software such as STAAD III, STRUD etc. with adequate modern computer systems including A0 size plotter to present all the data in professional style.

11.  A team of faculty having Postgraduate degrees in Structural Engineering and design experience in various types of buildings undertake structural design consultancy work.

12. The Government of Tamilnadu has authorized this Institution to carryout testing and consultancy services vide G.O Ms.NO.676 dated 10.4.1980.
